FLINT & GENESEE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Women's Leadership Committee Luncheon

Women

Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement.

Women's Leadership Committee Luncheon

Description

The Women’s Leadership Committee of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce brings area women who are members of the Chamber together to address issues affecting women.  Meeting monthly for lunch on the fourth Wednesday of the month, the group focuses on network strengthening, education/training, and community service.

February is American Heart Month. Did you know heart disease is the #1 killer of women, more than all forms of cancer combined?  Our guest speaker will be Dr. Brenda Brown, a Flint native who survived Sudden Cardiac Arrest while walking in the Crim.  She will share her amazing story & the book she authored, The Day I Forgot - But Will Always Remember.  (For those interested, she will have copies of the book available for purchase for $15 - check, cash, credit card, or cash app accepted).

Although we're technically past the official national "Wear Red Day," let's all wear red to this meeting to show our support for women's heart health!

Luncheons are "bring your own lunch" unless noted otherwise.
