Got Cabin Fever? Try these Flint & Genesee Activities

It’s been a long winter, but now is a good time to get outside the house with the kids before everyone gets too stir crazy. Whether you’re looking for something to do for an hour or two or an overnight trip, there are plenty of family-friendly places to explore in Flint & Genesee.

Flint Children’s Museum

Located on the campus of Kettering University, the Flint Children’s Museum provides a fun and exciting learning environment for kids ages 2 to 10. With a variety of exhibitions for children to explore, the museum is a great place to take young ones for the day.

Longway Planetarium

For children who love science and exploration, Longway Planetarium is perfect. Michigan’s largest planetarium offers educational and entertaining shows exploring astronomy and science.

Sloan Museum at Courtland Center

This satellite of Sloan Museum is open during renovations with its Explore the Deep Sea exhibit.

For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum

Located in Burton, For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum runs programming throughout the year geared towards teaching children and families about nature.

Planet 3 Extreme Air Park

This indoor trampoline park is filled with fun and exciting experiences for children and parents featuring extreme dodgeball, trapeze, foam pits and more.

Rollhaven Skate & Fun Center

A staple in the Flint & Genesee community, Rollhaven is a great indoor roller-skating rink with other fun experiences such as an arcade and laser tag.

NCG Cinemas/Trillium IMAX

The local theater shows all the latest blockbuster movies such as Sonic the Hedgehog and The Call of the Wild.
