Cost of college went up for all students at Baker College

Tuition and fees rose 4.7 percent for 2018-19 at Baker College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $9,800 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $440 more than the $9,360 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 527 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.1 million and 330 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (9,332), 9,066 students used grants or scholarships totaling $40.2 million, and 7,549 students took out $51.3 million in federal student loans.
