Davenport University’s Virtual Bytes Summer Camp is for high school and transfer students considering turning their love of technology into a career—or students who just love tech and want to get hands-on experience building something of their own. Created specifically for next-gen software developers, coders, game designers, engineers and innovators, camp sessions will take a deep dive into programming and 3D gaming. And, because it’s virtual, all that’s needed is a reliable Internet connection and computer. To have a successful session, please complete the pre-work installations found on the”Required Pre-Work” tab.

Day 1 Details: Python Programming
Create a game using Python, a popular programming language. We will start by writing simple programs that will print text and perform simple calculations. Then, you will learn about logic and applying “if” statements. By the end of this session, you will create a game.
Day 2: The Game is On 3D!
Create your own games! Learn the basics of 3D Game Design using Unity. Explore game design concepts and tools.
