Baker College System answered the call of Michigan hospitals, including McLaren Hospital System and Memorial Healthcare in Owosso by donating personal protective medical supplies to combat COVID-19.
The donation includes surgical gloves, masks with face shields, masks without face shields, hair covers, shoe covers, hand sanitizer, and disposable gowns/jackets.
“As a medical-surgical nurse with over 20 years of experience, I understand the need for all healthcare workers to serve the public and maintain their own health,” said Baker College dean of Health Science Tanya Lewis MSN, FCN, CNE, RN. “Baker College is committed to supporting other partnering hospitals with medical supplies we have available. As an administrator, I’m excited we are able to offer personal protective equipment that will impact the hospitals’ ability to serve patients and communities.”
