GENESEE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: Whitmer orders shopping hours for vulnerable residents, masks for employees checking out customers

Genesee County Health Department issued the following announcement on April 27.

Governor Whitmer signs Executive Order establishing temporary safety measures for food-selling establishments and pharmacies and temporary relief from requirements applicable to the renewal of licenses for the food-service industry.

Grocery stores and pharmacies in Michigan are now required to set aside shopping hours for vulnerable residents.

The move is part of an executive order signed Sunday, April 26 by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to establish strategies to reduce exposure to COVID-19 for customers and employees.
