Genesee County Health Department issued the following announcement on May 17.
According to the IIHS, teen drivers 16-19 are nearly 3x more likely than drivers 20 and older to be in a fatal crash. Lack of experience is often a huge factor.
A driver's license used to be a rite of passage for most teenagers. The license was a key to growing independence from adults and new worlds of possibilities.
