70 percent of applicants to Kettering University were admitted for fall 2018

At Kettering University, 97 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 80 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Flint enrolled 2,315 students in fall 2018, including 1,880 in undergraduate and 435 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of Michigan, and 16 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (5 percent).

The school admitted 70 percent of the 2,237 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
