53 percent of applicants to Baker College were admitted for fall 2018

At Baker College, 57 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 70 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Flint enrolled 9,332 students in fall 2018, including 8,974 in undergraduate and 358 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

91 percent of undergraduates are residents of Michigan, and 6 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (78 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 53 percent of the 1,206 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 83 percent enrolled.
