Genesee County Health Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.
Genesee Healthy Start is a group of organizations working together to provide services to families in Genesee County.
Genesee Healthy Start works to reduce the rates of infant mortality and low birth weight, and maternal morbidity and mortality.
Sometimes moms and dads just need a little help working through problems. This can include getting information on housing and eating right, making and keeping doctor appointments, infant bonding, getting baby clothes or other items and health care questions. Healthy Start is a group of organizations (Genesee County Health Department, Genesee County Community Action Resource Department, Hurley Medical Center and Ascension at Home) working together to help moms, babies and dads with various health-related needs.
