City of Dewitt issued the following announcement on July 26.
Both Bridge St and Schavey bridge repairs are complete. Regular traffic has resumed.
Bridge work updates:
Tuesday, 7/27 through 7/29- road will be closed at the bridge on Bridge St. Weather permitting the bridge will be open to traffic first thing Thursday, 7/29. Please use an alternate route.
Thursday, 7/29 through 7/31 - The bridge on Schavey road will be closed to traffic. Weather permitting the bridge will be open to traffic first thing Saturday, 7/31. Please use an alternate route.
The crews will be putting an epoxy sealant on the bridge decks, which requires a few days of dry weather.
Completion dates are contingent on the weather cooperating. We will keep this post updated if dates change.
