Genesee County Recycle Day August 24

Trashrecycle

City of Fenton recently issued the following announcement.

Discard Hard-to-Recycle Items at Recycle Day on August 24

Do you have hard-to-recycle materials you’d like to properly discard? Genesee County will hold another Recycle Day on August 24 to collect items that can’t be recycled normally.

The event will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mott Community College, 156 Albert Horrigan Dr. in Flint.

More information, including a list of eligible items and a link to the county’s appliance recycling program, is available at the Recycle Day page. Questions can be directed to the county’s recycling hotline at 810-762-7744.

Thanks to the more than 1,000 residents who dropped off more than 160,000 pounds of hard to recycle materials at Recycle Day events in 2020. Keep it up and let’s divert even more items from the regular waste stream!
