City of Houghton issued the following announcement on Oct 28.
Last night long-time councilmember Dan Salo retired so that he and his wife can become snow-birds. Thank you, Dan for 10 years of service to our city. City employees will miss your ability to believe in and support us, the community will miss your thoughtful decisions and your perspective as a born-here working class guy. And, we will all miss our "Danny Time"! Enjoy your warm winter and we will see you in the spring.
