City of Clio issued the following announcement on Dec 22.
APPLY BY FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2021.
Ahead of a looming deadline, the state is urging Michiganders to contact their mortgage lender before the end of the year to see what kind of relief may be available, and to prevent falling behind on payments and becoming delinquent.
"Borrowers who have not been able to make mortgage payments and are already delinquent should contact their lender or servicer right away to ask about forbearance options and repayment plan assistance," the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services said in a Tuesday, December 21, 2021 news release.
