City of Dewitt issued the following announcement on Dec 21.
The City of DeWitt Police Department has received multiple reports of vehicles rummaged through the early morning of Monday, December 20th. We want to remind our residents to make sure your are locking your car doors at night as well as taking anything of value out at night.
As of right now, all we can tell from resident camera footage is that it is three male subjects, driving a gray/silver midsize SUV around 4:30am- 5:30am. Our officers will have special attention throughout the City but we need your help by ensuring your belongings are secure.
