Repairs Complete, Full Flow Restored to Broken Water Main in Appletree Subdivision

Webp water044

City of Fenton issued the following announcement on Jan 15.

Workers from the Department of Public Works completed repairs this afternoon to a water main break that affected the Appletree subdivision.

"The repairs are complete and the water main is at full flow," said Fenton City Manager Lynn Markland.

The break, which was discovered Friday evening, was about 1,000 feet from the nearest street in a wooded area between Trealout Drive and the subdivision.

Workers, who endured below-zero wind chills as the day began, first had to clear a path so they could access the site of the break with vehicles and equipment.

Though some residents experienced low water pressure Friday night and today, a boil-water advisory was never needed, as technicians at the Fenton Water Department worked through the night to ensure enough water was flowing.
