City of Clio recently issued the following announcement.
AUTO THEFTS ARE MOST OFTEN crimes of opportunity.
1. Never leave keys or key fobs inside of an unattended vehicle.
2. Think twice about leaving a vehicle running in a driveway to warm it up and don’t leave a parked vehicle running while going into a gas station or convenience store.
3. Install a GPS tracking device, insurance companies suggest.
4. Always lock the doors when leaving the vehicle unattended.
5. Park in well-lit areas.
6. Invest in anti-theft technology.
7. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle,.
