Fenton Historical Society and The A. J. Phillips Museum recently issued the following announcement.
Did you know...?
Fenton's current library used to be the location of our post office! Fenton's Post Office was established in 1838 and was originally housed in a small wooden building. After moving several times (to Caroline and Leroy Streets) they finally built a new building at the corner of Caroline and Walnut. In this photo you can see the crowd that gathered to celebrate the Post Office's Grand Opening in 1943.
