Fenton Area Public Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 23.
Dear FAPS Families,
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend and holiday break.
I would like to thank all of you for the continued support given to our students and staff on a consistent basis, especially throughout the last two years. Fenton Area Public Schools is truly a special place and our students are fortunate to have all of you in their lives.
Based on the current COVID-19 cases and conditions, MDHHS is expiring the Public Health Advisory on Masking in indoor public settings. This includes school districts.
You may see the full report here:

In response to the current recommendation by the state, GCHD has rescinded the mask mandate in schools for children under the age of five, effective February 22, 2022. This means our Ellen Street Campus/WOW programs are no longer under a mask mandate and will continue to follow the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) guidelines.
Moving forward, FAPS will continue to report positive cases on our dashboard and expect families to keep students home when they are feeling sick or showing any COVID-19 symptoms.
Again, thank you for your continued support throughout the last two years and please know we are looking forward to our continued partnerships with our families and community. I truly believe we are a stronger school community and the future is very bright in Fenton!
Sincerely,
Dr. Adam Hartley
FAPS Superintendent
