Counseling Services for Those in the Community in Need this Week

UPDATE (2/22/23): Community members are advised that counseling services previously scheduled to take place at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center will be offered virtually from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and Thursday, Feb. 23 due to inclement weather. Visit https://tinyurl.com/msucounsel to be paired with a clinician (Zoom passcode: 708367). Additionally, counseling services at the East Lansing Public Library have been canceled for Wednesday, Feb. 22. 

Community members are advised that counseling services will continue to be offered the week of February 20, 2023 at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road, and the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL), 950 Abbot Road. These crisis support services are available to anyone in the community in need.

  • Counseling services (arranged by Michigan State University) will be offered at ELHCC from 2-6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20; Tuesday, Feb. 21; Wednesday, Feb. 22; and Thursday, Feb. 23.

  • Counseling services will also be offered at ELPL from noon-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21; Wednesday, Feb. 22; Thursday, Feb. 23; and Friday, Feb. 24.
Therapy dogs will be available at both locations on an intermittent basis as well.
