Rep. Dan Kildee, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 8th District since 2013, shared several notable updates through his social media account. These tweets cover a range of topics from expressing gratitude towards the President to legislative achievements and announcing the end of his congressional tenure.

On November 20, 2024, Rep. Kildee extended birthday wishes to President Biden. In his message, he highlighted their collaborative efforts saying: "Happy Birthday, @POTUS! It has been an honor to work with you to support the middle class, lower the costs of prescription drugs, and bring back manufacturing jobs to Michigan. Thank you for your leadership."

Two days later, on November 22, 2024, Rep. Kildee announced a legislative success regarding agricultural protection in Michigan: "I’m pleased to see the Senate pass my bill to defend Michigan agriculture from harmful pests and diseases. The House should take up and pass my Beagle Brigade Act to protect our farmers and food supply." This tweet underscores his commitment to safeguarding local agriculture through proposed legislation.

Later that day on November 22, Rep. Kildee disclosed his decision not to seek re-election after serving mid-Michigan in Congress for over a decade: "I’ve loved every minute of serving mid-Michigan in Congress, but my time as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives will come to an end on January 2nd. While my staff and I will continue working hard for the district until the last day of my term..." He assured constituents that he remains dedicated until his term concludes.
