City of Saginaw issued the following announcement on Aug 13.

The City of Saginaw will host the upcoming Neighborhood Association Action Group (NAAG) meeting LIVE under the pavilion at Bliss Park, at the corner of Houghton Street and Michigan Avenue, at 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 17.

The August NAAG meeting will allow residents from area neighborhood groups to come together to learn, discuss local neighborhood issues, solve problems, and reconnect with one another. The meeting will be outside, so participants are reminded to bring a chair. Lunch will be provided by Woody’s Hot Dogs.

The agenda for Tuesday’s NAAG meeting will include a variety of beneficial topics including updates from local law enforcement and the fire department, Saginaw’s “Best Kept Yard” program, an update on the City’s Master Plan, and a presentation from the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions of many of our department heads, as we will have representatives from several departments in attendance. Darrin Jerome, Chief Inspector, stressed the importance of the NAAG meetings, “Strong neighborhoods are the key to building a strong city. NAAG meetings allow us to meet with our neighborhood group members and update them on new city programs and discuss any concerns they may have. We want citizens to know that we are here to listen to them. Everyone who attends can make a valuable contribution to their neighborhood and to the city.”
