City of Houghton recently issued the following announcement.
The Houghton Pier Project has started!
A new pier is being constructed between the Michigan Tech Lakeshore Center and the Portage Lake District Library. This will provide a year-round gathering place along the beautiful waterfront for everyone to enjoy.
