CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTS award of up to $500,000 for the “Butler Street Sewer and Water Replacement Project;” a project that will replace approximately 1,300 foot, 8-inch sanitary sewer line and approximately 1,350 foot, 8-inch water main located along Butler Street from North Mill Street to Oak Street and the complete reconstruction of Butler Street made necessary by the location of the utilities underneath the Street surface and the narrow right-of-way.
The Project is estimated to cost between $1.2 and $15 million. and is expected to be completed during the 2023 calendar year.
The award follows the Genesee County Board of Commissioners’ call for local unit projects that might be financed, in part, with proceeds of the County’s American Rescue Plan Act funding.
The Board of Commissioners are to be applauded for sharing proceeds of the County’s American Rescue Plan Act funding with its local units of government.
